Conclusion: Which is the better value?
Determining the better value here is not easy due to the minimal differences the two machines have. Both of them have excellent performance and efficiency ratings. This means the machine with better value here will be mostly determined by the user’s preferences. This preferences will be further influenced by the differences between the two robot vacuum cleaners. One such determining difference is the pricing. The Roomba 690 tends to be more pricy in comparison to the Roomba 675. This could be because it comes with an additional virtual wall barrier that is not available on purchase of the Roomba 675. Users living in smaller spaces may not need the virtual barrier and thus would get better value from buying the budget friendly Roomba 675. However, those with larger spaces who may need to limit cleaning to specific areas for whatever reason would get better value from the Roomba 690 and its accompanying virtual barrier wall. This however does not overshadow the Roomba 675’c compatibility with dual mode virtual barrier walls, which can be purchased at a later time if need arises.
Ultimately, both these robot vacuums are exceptional and guarantee great performance. Better value remains a point of view here. For added functionality the Roomba 690 is recommended especially as it comes with added accessories. This would be the ideal option for someone who is ready to spend and actually needs the virtual wall barriers. However, those on a budget and not in need of these added features are very likely to get value for their money with almost similar performance from the more affordable Roomba 675, a tried and tested robot vacuum cleaner that has remained market relevant over time and guarantees exceptional cleaning results.
